It seems like Halloween is right around the corner. Even though it is just a few short weeks away, the Halloween festivities are getting ready to kick off at Disneyland Resort. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort has begun, and Oogie Boogie Bash will soon begin. We now have an official Foodie Guide for Disneyland Halloween eats and treats! Returning for 2024 is the adorable Mickey Bat Cookie. It can be found at a few locations throughout the park. The shortbread cookie is dipped in chocolate and an iconic Mickey face created in the middle. A few fan-favorite churros are also returning this year. The Maleficent Churro that is rolled in chocolate cookie crumbles with a peanut butter dipping sauce will be at the churros cart near Sleeping Beauty Castle and near Town Square. The Green Apple Churro that is rolled in green apple sugar and served with a caramel dipping sauce can be found at the churros cart near Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. The Bride and Groom Churros are returning to the churros cart near Haunted Mansion. They are a separate purchase but so good together with the Couples First Kiss strawberry dipping sauce. Bride Churro is made with vanilla and sugar coating while the Groom Churro is made with dark and milk chocolate. Alien Planet Pizza will be featuring a new pizza, Dark Matter Pizza, that is made with “celestial tomato sauce with mozzarella cheese, spicy Italian sausage, roasted mushrooms, and black olives” as described by Disney Destinations. This year the restaurant will also have a brand new macaron. Alien Buzz Macaron which is filled with berries and cream. Heading into Toontown, Cafe Daisy will dish up quite a few new options. Daisy’s Goody-Goody- Donuts are made in house with an apple-cider flavor and tossed in a spiced apple sugar. The location will also be offering two new beverages. A Caramel Apple Cold Brew and a Toontown Fall Harvest Pumpkin Iced Tea. The new tea is made with sweet tea, vanilla syrup, pumpkin spice syrup, drizzled with caramel and whipped cream, then a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar top it off. Edelweiss Snacks will have a new and delicious sounding item that will hit the spot after all of the sweet treats. The Fantasyland Garlic Cheesy Brat is a bratwurst placed inside a garlic, cheesy bread pretzel bun. This location will also have an Alpine Almond Delight. This is served as a danish with a pastry cream filling then topped with almond cream and sliced almonds on top. Another smaller vendor is Little Red Wagon. For the season it will be offering a new sweet and savory option, Blueberry Corn Dog. The hand dipped corn dog is topped with a blueberry compote and a sprinkle of bacon powdered sugar. Mint Julep Bar is always serving up some delicious beignets. For the season, a Tangy Apple Mickey-shaped beignets. They are offered in packs of 3 or 6 and come dusted with a tangy apple powdered sugar. Tiana’s Place will also have a new beignet on the menu this season. A Strawberry Pie-Filled Beignet with a strawberry filling on top. A highly recommended dining option will always be Plaza Inn, which is popular as a character dining experience for breakfast. Plaza Inn will have three new items on the menu including Poison Apple Cake; Chocolate Shortcake; and Chocolate Silk Cheesecake. A location that is very popular and generally offers amazing seasonal treats, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, will be offering five new options for the Halloween season. A Jack-O’-Lantern Macaron is made with a pumpkin flavored macaron and filled with caramel buttercream and pumpkin cheesecake. Up next is a Spiced Bundt Cake which is crafted with a spiced cake that is filled with a cream cheese frosting. It is then topped with a purple glaze and Halloween-themed sprinkles and a spiced mousse and chocolate Mickey medallion. Another sweet treat is the Caramel Apple Cheesecake that is new this year. The caramel cheesecake is filled with apple filling and topped with green-colored white chocolate mousse and topped with chocolate flakes and a chocolate bat. The final two are a little nutty. An Apple Almond Croissant and Hazelnut Brownie Tart with Chocolate Frosting join the menu at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. Disney California Adventure is also taking part in the Halloween treat festivities and each of the Cozy Cone Motels will have something to offer. There will be a Peanut-Butter Chocolate Churro at Cozy Cone Motel 1. Cozy Cone Motel 2 will be swirling up two new ice cream options including a Mater’s Haul-O-Ween Cone featuring ube soft serve with black sprinkles on top. The other is a Ube-Vanilla Twist Soft Serve which is ube and vanilla soft serve swirl on a cone (or cup) and topped with black sprinkles. A favorite restaurant of mine is Lamplight Lounge, and they have added a few amazing sounding items to the menu! Pumpkin Spiced Latte Donuts is up first. The next few are beverage options. A Halloween co*cktail that is made with orange juice, vanilla vodka, butterscotch syrup, bitters, and an almond orgeat syrup. Bivouac Cat’s Paw Cider and Ommegang Imperial Peanut Butter Stout are also joining the lineup for beverages. If you’re looking for something on the quick service side of dining, Smokejumpers Grill would be the perfect place! Not only are they adding a Villainous Double Cheeseburger to the menu, which will have pepper jack cheese and chile peppers, they are also offering a new version of the Oogie Boogie Lemonade but in a co*cktail version! Staying at Disneyland Hotel? Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar will be dishing up a few fabulous beverages, some of which are new to the menu for the celebration. A Scarecrow Old Fashioned, Pina Ghoulada, and Spider Eye Punch are the new options for the season and each sound very interesting. The Spider Eye Punch features a pineapple rum with dry gin, cherry liquor, lime juice, pineapple juice, honey syrup, and bitters. It is also served with a glowing Green Poison Apple souvenir ice cube. The Pina Ghoulada is crafted with a white rum, dark rum, Giffard Creme de Banane, lemon juice, creme of coconut, tamarind syrup, and bitters. This drink might have Captain Jack asking where all the rum has gone. If you’re not staying at this hotel, be sure to stop by for a visit and grab a delicious beverage!
